8 Beauty hacks TESTED!

Hey guys its Adiva !

Since you guys liked my pinterest hacks blog I thought i'll do a beauty hacks blog too. All these hacks are tested by me and my friends so they should work on you too, hopefully.

1- Now I used this hack in my pinterest blog but I thought I'll include it here too. So basically you can use coconut oil to grow your lashes. Just take the oil and put in on your lashes or even on your eyebrows and wait for about 2-3 weeks for the results.

2- To achieve more volume on your hair just blow-dry your hair upside down and this should give you more volume.

3- Spray your bobby pins with hair spray for a stronger hold.

4- Instead of buying face makeup brushes just buy a beauty blender. A beauty blender can blend almost anything, It blends your foundation, concealer, contour. It's just more affordable than buying brushes for all those things. I recommend the Sephora beauty blender.

5- If you like plumped lips just add a few drops of peppermint oil to your lipgloss and your lips with be plumed with in no time.

6- I hate when perfume's smell good but don't last long. A hack for it to last longer is to put vaseline on the area where you want to apply your perfume (for e.g. wrists) and then spray your perfume on that area. This works because perfume usually sticks longer to oily skin.

7- Use lemon as deodorant. I know it sounds crazy but take lemon juice or a lemon and rub it where you tend on sweating because thats usually the place which would smell. The lemon cancels out the smell and keeps you hydrated.

8- If you run out of shaving cream use hair conditioner instead, it works the same and your legs are super soft at the end so thats a bonus!

5 Snapchat secrets and tricks

Hey guys its Adiva !
I have an obsession with snapchat, no really I do. Speaking of snapchat… you should totally add me on snapchat (@adiivaax)  and other social media, (links below)

1- Have you ever wanted to add two filters at once ? Well now you can. First apply whatever filter you want then hold your finger on your phone and with another finger swipe. You will then get more filters.




2- Get more text space. Snapchat only allows minimum letters, but not for long. Go onto the notes app and select couple of lines of blank text and press copy, then go on snapchat and paste it in the snap chat text.







3- You could make your own filter!  Take an emoji which has a color of your choice, and zoom it till the photo is covered with that color. This isn't technically 'making your own filter' but it does act as one. credits to mashable for this hack.





4- Change the emojis on your friend list. Go to snapchats settings → additional services → manage
→ friend emojis. Now you could choose what emoji you want next to each person.





5- Get more colors. You can now get black, white and different shades of colors ! Click on the colors icon and then drag your finger to the bottom also you could drag your finger to the left for shades of colors.

I'll be back !

Hey guys its Adiva !
I have exams coming up in 2 weeks and I'm desperately trying to finish my syllabus, as you can imagine studying for exams isn't exactly easy. I have a ton of work to finish so I won't be able to keep up with my blog.

I need to take a break from writing for around 2 and a half weeks, I'll be back around the end of January with hopefully new ideas. I could spend very little time writing crappy blogs which are of no use but I don't want to do that. So I have decided to take a break and focus on my studies.

How to grow your nails naturally

Hey guys its Adiva !
I don't know about you but personally I have short nails, well really I just have a small nail bed. Its not flattering. At all.
Anywayy I have some tips and tricks that you could use to grow your nails.

1- Don't bite your nails -  I know I used to bite my nails when I was younger and thats also a reason that my nails didn't grow. It really effects your nail growth and your nail shape, If your nail is irritating you then just use a nail filer.

2- Wear nail polish - Wearing nail polish not only looks good but it also helps you from biting your nails, I always used this trick when I was younger. I didn't feel like ruining my painted nails. Although don't keep it on for too long, your nails need to breath so remove your nail paint max after a week and then let your nails breath for et least 2 days.

3- Push back your cuticles - Don't cut your cuticles. For one, the cut cuticles could result in infection, which could effect your nail growth. Pushing back your cuticles also makes your nail look longer.

4 - Eat more proteins - This not only will help you stay healthy but it provides nutrients for your body, skin and yes your nails too. Try eating proteins like salmon, whole wheat bread, whole wheat cereal, eggs, milk, dairy products, nuts and chicken.

5- Prevent your nails from breaking - Try to use less nail polish remover, It has chemicals in it that can harm your nails. So before painting your nails use a nail hardener which would strengthen your nails and stop it from chipping off.(you could also use it without nail paint) After applying your nail paint use a top coat, this not only will give your nails a beautiful shine but it will stop the nail paint from chipping. 

6- Now I know buying a nail hardener isn't exactly natural so you could always just use garlic. 
Rubbing garlic on your nails makes it hard, your nails won't break easily now!

DIY fake snow ! 5 different ways (Christmas series part 3)

Hey guys its Adiva !


Christmas is so soon ! I have my Christmas tree up and its decorated and err thang is so Christmassy and all the stores have ugly Christmas and just ahhhh. Okay I'm done.

So if you live in a place where it doesn't snow and you're desperate to build a snow man then don't worry i've got 5 ways of making snow!

1- The first method is to buy a snow spray, I know thats not a diy but its a fast and cheap way of having snow. It does have some cons tho, It won't last long. Max it'll last is for about 5-7 mins. After all it is made out of water and soap.

2- The second thing you could do is make snow by using paper towels ! You'll need a bunch of paper towels, make sure they're damp. Put them in a food processor/mixer until they are in small pieces, although they shouldn't be in too small pieces.

3- Have you ever thought of using sea salt to make snow? Well you could! All you need is coarse sea salt, thats basically sea salt but with thicker grains. Just get some of that in your hand and sprinkle it anywhere you like !

4- If you don't want to go out and buy sea salt you could also just use sugar, it works perfectly fine. And it tastes good too ! (Yes its edible) 

5- You could also make snow from baking soda, all you need is a cup of baking soda add that to a bowl and add a tea spoon of water time and time again. Keep mixing it with a fork. Add as much water as you think it would need, If you're making more than one cup of snow you'll need to add water more frequently. Don't forget to keep mixing it until you get the perfect 'snow' consistency.

Bath and Body Works Christmas Haul ! (Christmas series part 2)

Hey guys its Adiva !
I absolutely love the Winter, why ? Well because duhh Christmas!
So I got into the Christmas spirit and went shopping... Guess where I went?
That's right Bath And Body Works because its clearly all I need…...I was in heaven for 2 hours ☮

1- The first thing I bought was the Twisted peppermint Collection, I just had to pick it all up.
It includes the Shea Swirl body lotion, Foam soap, Candle, Sanitizer, Fragrance mist, Ultra Shea body cream, Lotion, hand cream, shower gel, lip gloss and the bath scrub





2- Winter Candy Apple is a must. I picked up the lotion, Foam hand soap, Cleansing hand soap and the body scrub














3- Ahhhh Sugar Plum Dream, So obsessed with their sanitizer and their hand cream


4- Iced Gingerbread's Foam hand soap is goals I swear. I will totally repurchase it


5- From the Merry Berry Christmas collection I just picked up their sanitizer. Its packaging is really cute but I don't know how I feel about its scent.




6- Now for the best part….. THE CANDLES !
I picked up Tis The Season, Peppermint swirl, Winter Candy Apple, Cinnamon Caramel Swirl and Noel





7- I also got the Winter Wonderland Cleansing hand soap and it's sanitizer
